Posters in parliament

On the 16th of January we went to  parliament and took one of our excellent UCLan students to showcase our outstanding undergraduate research, alongside 9 other universities from BCUR.

The UK’s first Posters in Parliament exhibition to celebrate British undergraduate research, hosted and sponsored by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), has been hailed a success by the Chief Executive of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) Sir Alan Langlands.

The exhibition at the Palace of Westminster during the week of Monday 14 January showcased the work of undergraduate students from ten universities which participated in the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR).

Their research project posters, which ranged from breastfeeding to ethnic conflict, were viewed by MPs and members of the public.  The work highlighted the progress that UK universities have made in embedding undergraduate research and enhancing the quality of student experience through research-informed teaching.
